Description

Perfect for: - Anyone new to BEAT81 or new to HIIT - Anyone getting back from a break or injury - Learning to do all important HIIT exercises with good form Workout setup: Longer explanation - Learn to manage your stamina, control your breath, understand your heart rate, and most importantly: to do all exercises with good form. Main workout - 3 rounds of 7 exercises each. Enjoy a balanced mix of 4 cardio and 3 strength exercises. Perform each exercise for 40 seconds, then spend 20 seconds to rest and move to the next exercise. Challenge - At the end of each class, our coaches have a 2-minute challenge waiting for you. Have fun and feel the great atmosphere when pushing your limits together with the group. Cooldown - Our coach will guide you to stretch the muscles you used during the class and relax your breath. This will help you to become more flexible, prevent injuries, and recover faster. Exercise focus: This workout is focused on teaching the basic HIIT exercises that make up the core of each BEAT81 HIIT workout. We focus on form rather than speed or heavy weights. We provide different variations of each exercise. This allows you to first learn the basic movement with good form and then move to a more advanced version in the later rounds of the workout. After 2-3 "Intro to HIIT" classes anyone is ready for our Intermediate workouts. Example exercises: High knees, jumping jacks, cobra pushups, knee pushups, situps, squads, lunges, shoulder presses, thrusters, half burpees What to bring? - Workout shoes - A Towel - Something to drink

About Your Coach, Edgar

Edgar is a dance-artist and generally passionate about movement. Training HIIT since 2018, they fell in love with the style of training itself and eventually BEAT81, so they decided to become a coach themselves. Using their many different sources of movement- and body-knowledge Edgar is interested in not just building bodies that look strong but strength and mobility that we can use outside of the gym, all that while never forgetting the joy of moving and being together. Being a queer person themselves Edgar wants to build safe spaces for all kinds of bodies and people with all kinds of experience. We will push our limits but always listen to our own body on that specific day so we can not only enjoy movement for 45 min but stay fit and mobile for a long time. Most importantly their class is a space where you can drop whatever is going on in your day for 45 min, sweat it all out and walk out with a smile on your face.
